Volunteer Requirements
UPDATED for 2026-2027 School Year:

Successful completion of a background check is required before any volunteer or chaperone may have access to students, on or off school property.
AACPS fingerprinting will be required for all new volunteers and chaperones.
Existing valid commercial background checks will remain valid until they expire.
New commercial background checks will no longer be accepted.
Fingerprinting is by appointment only.
Cost: $65, which includes the commercial background check.
Fingerprinting remains valid until your last child graduates from AACPS.
Once you receive the pink Fingerprint Verification Card, take a photo of it and email to Ms. Canapp at TCanapp@mycsp.org. Keep this card with you when on CSPES campus. (Consider laminating it for durability.)

CSPES PTO is offering an On-Site Fingerprinting Session for Volunteers to save you the drive to Annapolis! It is Wednesday, December 16 from 5-6:30. Slots are very limited, so signup ASAP!
