❓What is the Audit Committee?
The Audit Committee reviews the PTO’s financial records at the end of the school year to verify that income, expenses, and bank balances are accurate.
📝 What skills are needed?
No accounting background is required! We’re looking for detail-oriented, organized volunteers who are comfortable reviewing documents and working collaboratively. Must be a paid PTO Member.
👤 How many people are needed?
We already have two Audit Committee volunteers for summer 2026, and are looking for one more.
✅ What is the audit process?
The Audit Committee team will meet with the PTO Treasurer (Britneé Dickerson) around July 15. At this meeting, she will provide access to the PTO accounts and a checklist for what the volunteers need to review.
After the team conducts the audit, they will meet again to present findings and sign a document confirming it is complete.
