Dear Parents/Guardians,
Next week (Tuesday and Wednesday, March 17-18, 2026), all 5th-grade students will participate in the Maryland Integrated Science Assessment (MISA), part of the Maryland Comprehensive Assessment Program (MCAP) testing. MISA evaluates students' understanding of scientific concepts and processes and their ability to apply these in real-world contexts.
Below are some resources if you would like to utilize them with your student:
Tutorials and Practice Tests: https://support.mdassessments.com/practice-tests/.
Practice tests are also available through the TestNav app in the students’ Chromebooks
Additionally, https://itempra.org/public/ provides information and access to released questions from former MCAP tests.
Please ensure your student brings a charged laptop to school every day as we approach the testing season.
Should you have any questions or concerns about the MCAP or MISA, please do not hesitate to contact us (jderin@mycsp.org).
Thank you for your support!
